Yes, even my mother will get to vote. She has alzheimers. Can't remember where the dining room is, but, as a lifelong republican who voted in every election, she'll be voting again. Interestingly, her criteria has changed. She plans to vote for Obama (first Democrat ever) because she likes how plainly he speaks of hope. She also thinks he's cuter than McCain or Hillary's husband, what's his name....

You only think the other branches can check the current actions of the executive because of forty some years of the weakening of the Presidency, not only by Congress, but also by the occupants of the office. You may want to think the current administration has 'run amok', but there are legal arguments for the actions they have taken. They have not circumvented the law, but have a singular vision of executive powers as prescribed in the constitution. Those legal arguments are not classified; they are open for argument and judgment by any and all. There doesn't seem to be an abundance of legal counter-arguments, although there is quite a bit of pandering, and if you think Congress and the Supremes don't have enough legal talent, I think you are wrong. We'll see how it goes, but this is how the legal process works.

Hell yeah. But what does the voting for the person sitting in the executive office matter when congress and the judicial branch won't keep the executive branch in check?
