Sandy Berger, national security adviser to President Clinton and advisor to John Kerry, plead guilty to taking and destroying federal property. Berger intentionally took copies of classified documents, with hand written notes on them, from the National Archives and cut them up and then lied about it. Berger and his lawyer said he knowingly removed the handwritten notes by placing them in his jacket, pants and socks, and also inadvertently took copies of actual classified documents.
These documents were from the all-mighty and always correct Richard Clarke and discussed stopping terrorism over the millennium. This all came about directly before the documents were to come before the September 11th commission.
Wow, I hope the Clintons invested the Whitewater money in an armory so they will have an unlimited supply of swords they can give to their "friends" so they may fall on them.
Back in the day, revisionist historians needed only to spout loudly that the past was different than it actually was, and it helped to have the New York Times or CNN so willing to believe it, that they would overlook the fact checking process. Now these historical sodomizers are so desperate they have to screw with the keepers of history like the National Archives. It helps to realize that if Mr. Berger had cut up the Declaration of Independence with scissors, it would have been no greater a crime.
