Conspiracy theorist, uber liberals, easily lead morons, anyone who feels better airing their grivences in a sea of mixed messages, people who just like to stroll down blocked off streets, UNITE!

Emotivism, is what I'm calling this new breed of protest. Pissed off becasue your dog just died, it must be President Bush's fault. Did not get that promotion at work, blame the WTO. Your gang-banger son just got shot by the competition, march for peace.

Obviously enamored with the images of protests from the 1960's, these folks know they want some for themselves. Now all they need to do is unite people behind their cause. Wait a moment, who said that needs to happen. How adopting a "catch all" issue like globalization, convincing people that their postions also fall under this banner, and unite as one million seperate voices in one place.

Like most, I think that public protest is a very important right and a powerful tool to keep our government "in check". However, these folks are like the boy who cried wolf. Sooner or later, a very serious issue, like Civil Rights in the 60's, will need to be met with overwhelming force of public protest and opinion, and that when that time comes, I very much hope that people will forget about these emotivists, and take protesting seriously.
